STAND UP 2011
This December, thousands of middle and high school students and teachers from across New England will come together at Northeastern University in Boston for a one-day program to take a stand against all forms of bullying. STAND UP 2011 has been created to educate, motivate and empower young people to actively promote positive social change in their schools and communities. On December 13th, we invite you to join with the STAND UP 2011 Community Coalition, consisting of prominent national and community-based organizations including: Sport in Society at Northeastern University, The Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center and The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association in standing up to bullying. We hope your school will take part in this very important program.

STAND UP 2011 has limited space. We encourage educators to register their schools students right away. Student teams up to 60 will be permitted. We suggest that their be 1 adult supervisor per every 5 students. This is a ticketed event-first come, first serve. Parental permission form required.

To recognize innovative and impactful programs developed by students and schools to address bullying we have created this special award. Five special recognition awards will be presented to the winning students at the event by prominent celebrities from the worlds of sports, entertainment and community. The award winners will be selected by a panel of community leaders.
